Dameon
Alexeiia Louis
Finding dusk-solace in ancient proverbs,
Dark smiling, gold eying,
Turning dances with children’s dreams,
Inspirations from Shakespeare generations,
In the sweet smirk parting
Across a new dawn city bus face,
Swimming in monster closets,
Paid with demon’s laughter,
Sleeping on a park bench,
In an uptown loving mansion’s parlor,
Flying off sky scraping towers,
Caught by rush hour winds,
Floating; cloud flying,
As children point and wave,
You lift your head, smiling, drink the wind,
Offering the queen a smoke,
Anxious face; sharing stick ball city boy assets,
Serving a soup kitchen caviar,
Simplistic extravagance,
Black hole thought singing,
Sliding down the narrow-mindness arch; breaking holes.
Loving you for your contradicting cheap-champagne soul.
