In a Young Girl's eyes

By N.L. Morgan

I see you everywhere I go
you are my love and you are my
    curse my dear
Sometimes it is in a young girls eyes
    that I see you
Or maybe in a woman's tears
My spirit cannot free itself from you
Everywhere I look I am hurt by my dreams of you
The dreams I hold on to so dearly
As one with a knife in his hand
I squeeze the blade in pain
wanting the pain to stop but not
    Wanting the bleeding to end
Your face floats in my facet of dreams
I watch as it gathers everything around it
as everything is attracted to it's beauty
I want to catch it but I can't.
Please stop being in the eyes of little girls
Please stop showing up in the water as
    my reflection
    Stop being everywhere I look
    everywhere I touch
    Even though I love you
    I can't handle this anymore
    I don't want this anymore
    I want it to end
    So I can go on.
    Let me be free.
