Silly Little Love Poem

When I was little
with curly hair and just the cutest little dimples,
I first learn just what a poem was.
Silly little phrases, that described a feeling
A Silly little love poem.
When I was a woman
with curly hair and sad lonely lines,
I really learned just a poem was,
Silly little phrases, that described a feeling
A Silly little love poem.
All of a sudden,
those little greeting card phrases,
of love and endearments,
gave way to the losing of
warm tender nights, so
I let those silly little valentines burn in anger
and consumed myself in the blues.
All my roses are red,
turned to the weeds of a snow white puff
blown away.
And, my violets were blue,
