Glaude - the oft misspelled (Claude) and the oft mispronounced (say it like you would 'Glowed') surname with which I've had the honour to carry for all of my life has always just been there for me until I was inspired to find out the roots of my name.

By tracking my ancestors, I've found a treasury of names, some of which were known to me (Robineau, Blondin, Quesnelle) but many that were not. I've attempted to track my four closest surnames as far back as possible, though as of this writing I have yet to explore my Blondin branch.

The database that I've accumulated has yet to be refined but with the help of Gene 4.2.1, I've been able to go back as far as the 15th century.
