Employment growth and decline, and related analysis for Ontario's Census Metropolitan Areas, Economic Regions and 4 major geographic divisions. Economic Analysis and Information Directorate list of Socio-economic and Labour Market Research Sources. NationalThe Applied Research Branch is part of the Strategic Policy group of HRDC. The Branch was established in 1994 to generate policy-relevant research to guide HRDC's development of creative solutions to labour market, employment, human capital development, income security, social development, labour adjustment and workplace innovation issues and problems. Research papers and news releases from one of Canada's most respected independent, nonprofit economic and social policy research institutions. Executive summaries and full reports are available in Portable Document Format (.pdf), and require Acrobat Reader to view. The site includes a link to download a freeware version of the Acrobat Reader from Adobe Corp. You will also find news releases which can be viewed without the .pdf viewer.
