       Toyota (Cambridge) Hiring UpdateToyota has increased production of the new Corolla at its Cambridge assembly plant. As a result, staff hired to work the new Solara line have been shifted to the Corolla line, and more assembly staff are needed. Applications from their early 1996 hiring drive have been exhausted and they need more, so another hiring drive is taking place starting Monday, November 24th, 1997. Since all the positions will be 3 month contracts, Toyota has decided to keep hiring activities local - in Cambridge, Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph, Stratford, Listowell, Brantford and Simcoe. Anyone else who is interested in applying will need to visit one of the HRCCs in the above named communities for an application. We must stress that these are 3 month contracts only, with no guarantee of continued employment after that 3 month period. Newpaper Ads will run on 22 Nov 97 and again on 2 Dec 97 letting people in the local area know of the availability of applications. Anyone who has already applied need not re-apply, Toyota has indicated that they will screen the applications for repeaters. Copyright © 1997
