by various HRCC LMI Units in the province. A link to
HRCC's in other provinces is included.

Job Futures
It contains occupational outlooks for Ontario to the year
2000 for 157 occupations. A reference tool to help
Canadians make informed career choices, and a valuable
resource for parents, students, teachers, counsellors and
workers. A product of a cooperative project between the
Ontario Ministry of Education and Training and HRDC
Ontario Region.

A Quarterly publication exploring current occupational
trends and issues affecting the Ontario labour market.

Occupational Prospects Document
This report is part of an ongoing federal-provincial
initiative to monitor occupational labour markets which
may impact on Ontario's economic performance and which
have human resource development implications.
National
Job Futures
Volume One, Occupational Outlooks, provides
general information on 211 occupational groups covering
all jobs available in Canada. Information on each
occupational group includes:
- types of employers who hire workers in the group;
- job duties and responsibilities;
- the level and type of education, training and
experience required of workers in the group;
- main labour market characteristics of the group;
- current prospects of finding work in occupations
in the group; and
- job prospects for the next five years.
Volume Two, Career Outlook for Graduates,
provides general information on the education and work
experiences of recent graduates from trade and vocational
schools, community colleges and universities. This
information is organized by programs of study, for
example, Biology and Computer Science. Volume Two
includes 155 programs of study, which represent a
specific field of study at a certain educational level.
