- Monmouth School Homepage
Monmouth School was founded in 1614 by William
Jones, a member of the Haberdashers' Company of London. From that time
to the present day, the money he bequeathed has underpinned the development
of both Monmouth School and our sister school, Haberdashers' Monmouth School
for Girls (HMSG). The Schools have recently co-operated at Sixth Form level
to offer an enhanced curriculum to students. Both Schools are fully independent
and continue to enjoy the generous support of The Haberdashers' Company,
whose Master is an ex-officio member of the Board of Governors.

College Home Page
Gorseinon College is on the north-western edge
of the City and County of Swansea. It is situated on three sites in a pleasant
suburban environment. It enjoys good road communications, especially via
the neighbouring M4, with most surrounding areas. The College was created
as a Tertiary institution in 1986 on the site of the former College of
Further Education and was given a formal catchment area which included
only two schools. From the outset the College a policy of ensuring that
its provision was of the highest quality and has consistently energetically
marketed itself on the evidence of the success of the strategy and as a
result it has grown dramatically to three times its original size and now
recruits from a very wide geographical area. The College can now be said
to have a catchment area which encompasses the whole of the new City and
County of Swansea and substantial parts of the Neath and Port Talbot and
Carmarthenshire County Boroughs
