SONGS OF MY HEART AND SOUL

My poems are the songs of my heart - the voice of my soul.
I sing these songs even as the bird sings - out of myself.
The same way as the spider spins his gossamer threads -
And Time alone shall be my judge and jury.
I don't pretend - I do not know how to pretend.
The words I write are children of my heart and soul.
It matters not to me if others write different than I;
Their work I do not flaunt,discredit nor deny.

If my poems are hard for you to understand
Then go and live - until you understand yourself.
For anything that I have said in them.
For I have lived and loved and suffer
And I have passed through the valley of tears.
And so I let my poems speak for themselves.
You may not accept them - but neither can you deny them.

Nor do I make any bargains with you.
The sacred flame that glows within my heart is all I have.
The approbation of my soul is good enough for me.
I do not seek any outside authority -
For there is no authority as great as one's own soul!
No need have I to stop and listen to some other voice
For my own inner voice for ever speaks to me.

Within myself are all the shades of heaven and hell
And in my soul I find both - infinity and eternity.
Far be it from me to stand in the way of your happiness -
This universe is large enough to contain you and me.
Must we foolishly strive for the relative things
When God has made us whole and absolute?
Enough for us to set in place life's colored pieces -
So that the final picture is complete.
