Sparkle LaFluer reads Tarot cards in a Wichita saloon. There she met Rafe Conley , who is a gun-for-hire. Sparkle asks Rafe to pose as her husband..to get rid of the attention of some man she on the stagecoach. He agrees. All of a sudden, Sparkle is being treated differently because of Rafe's reputation in town. Everyone in town now thinks they are really married...so now to play along with the hoax, she lets Rafe buy her a wedding ring, and he stays with her in her room (to make things look believable). Sparkle starts to develop feelings for Rafe, and before she knows it she has fallen in love with him. There are just a couple of problems....first, he us a gun-for-hire, and the second thing is that she loves someone else. But when Rafe kisses her and whispers in her ear...she can't think of anyone else but Rafe. Rafe finds out about this other man that Sparkle has loved for awhile..and he leaves. Sparkle then realizes that she does love Rafe...with all her heart and soul. Is it too late to make Rafe see that she does love him? I loved this book! It is full of love and passion...makes you feel like you were there! Very sensual and spicy book! Keep a fan on while you read this one!

She finds herself on Travis Conley's ranch, and he offers to give her a job as a cook and housekeeper (he needs one very badly!). Lucia is Italian, and she doesn't speak English very well. But she realizes that Travis is the man she wants to marry, before its too late and her past catches up to her! Travis doesn't want to get married to anyone....even tho he is engaged to his neighbor's daughter. But there is something about Lucia that drives him wild...and before he knows it he realizes that Lucia is nothing but alot of trouble....but its the kind of trouble that he wants and needs. When he realizes why Lucia needs to get married, Travis agrees, tho it will only be temporary and in name only. Will Travis do what Lucia asks of him in order to stay married? Or will Travis divorce her and marry his neighbor's daughter? This is another excellent book by Shannon...and it is just as steamy as her other book. This book for sure will keep you warm on these cold winter nights!

Elizabeth is very lonely, and needs some kind of distraction in her life, so she calls upon Gabriel and agrees to his proposal. Elizabeth soon learns that he doesn't want to paint her portrait, that he wants to seduce her, and she agrees. Gabriel has stirred some feelings in her, and she wants to see where these feelings will take her to. Gabriel wants to paint Elizabeth....and he wants to seduce her. He is hoping that along the way, Elizabeth will give him some money, or a trinket of some sort once their "affair" is done and over with. But Gabriel is finds it very hard to walk away from Elizabeth....she has captured his heart, and even tho she has no money, he continues with the affair till her father finds out. Will Gabriel take the money her father offers? To leave and never see Elizabeth again? Will Elizabeth ever forgive him for the things that he must do in order for him to make sure that she is going to be taken care of? Will he be able to just walk away like nothing happened between them? This was a very very good book. It is filled with plenty of erotic and steamy love scenes in this book. If you love to read romance books with some steam .....read this one! You won't be disappointed...I know I wasn't ;) This is definitely on my keeper shelf and will be a re-read over and over again!
