But as time goes on, he sees that he asked for the wrong reward, he should have asked for Claire's hand in marriage. He finds out some lies that Lord Setton has told him, and with Claires help he tries to make things right. When the time comes for him to turn Claire over to her father, he finds that he can't live without her and wants her to stay with him. Will Claire stay with Bernard who has captured her heart, or will she marry the man her father has promised her to? Very good book.

Cecilia knew that the prince was bound in secret duty for the King, and that any talk of love between them could be a dangerous and forbidden mistake. Very good story to this book.

She finds a knight by the name of Yves de Saint-Roux to champion her cause and help to get her castle back and her small son. If he succeeds in doing this she will marry him. The knight finds himself wanting something that he never thought he wanted, a home, a family and her. This is a great book and has an excellent story to it.

Jed West is a mixed-blood trapper, and he comes across Katherines's wagon..and finds her deathly sick. He nurses her back to health. He finds himself falling in love with her...but she is a missionary...who recently lost her husband. She wants Jed to take her to the mission...where she can continue her husbands work. Jed takes her to the mission..but will he leave? Will he stay? Will she realize that she loves him...but at a time when it is too late? Very good book!!

Paris Mulholland feels drawn to Clara, and feels protective of her when people around them or his friends make fun of Clara's Aunt and Uncle. Paris feels a very strong draw to Clara...and when her Aunt has them pose in a picture together, well it seems that what Paris was looking (or not looking for) was right there in front of him. Very good book!

April loves MacKenzie, and doesn't want to leave him, so she convinces him to go to the Fort to explain to her father ( General Wakefield) to see his side of the story. Will MacKenzie do this for her? Will he be able to let her go? Very good book.

She refuses and tells him that he had to get married, and that way his wife could look after that baby and he could get his boat back out to sea. He marries a woman by proxy, a woman that his Aunt has recommended and wants for her to arrive. She shows up all right, but he doesn't know its her. She travels with his Aunt as her "companion/secretary" and scopes out him and the situation. In the meantime, she has fallen in love with her husband, and and the baby....but is it too late to let him know that she is his wife? Very good book.

Laura Gray was left orphaned and pregnant by an Indian attack. Stormwalker was half white, and half Indian, and helped Laura when she had her baby, and helped her deal with her parents death. He takes care of her, and makes sure her and her baby are well cared for. He knows that the people of her town will not accept her and her baby. When the baby gets taken by the renegade Indian who is the father, Stormwalker goes and looks for her son. He leaves Laura in his village while he goes to look for the baby. He comes back and tells her that the baby had died of fever, but Laura refuses to believe it. Can Stormwalker help Laura come to terms with her baby's death..can he make her see that he loves her and wants to marry her? Very good book!

What he doesn't know is that Maggie got brutally beaten by her step-father and step-brother, so she hides onto his ship, hoping the boat will take her to her brother. Cabel finds her and sets her ashore, there she meets a man by the name of Jeb Rawson who is much older than her and who has a young baby at home, and a couple of younger children that he needs taken care of. Jeb marries Maggie (in name only) so that she will have some protection in case anything happens to him at sea. Maggie agrees. What she doesn't know is that Jeb is Cabel's father, and any chance she has with Cabel is gone now since she is married to his father. Maggie finally finds her brother...and she finds herself having more and more feeling for Cabel. When Jeb gets killed by the pirates, she finds herself in a very interesting situation. Very good!
